Our Mission Statement (2026)

Or charity is dedicated to transforming emergency response to severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) across the United Kingdom, saving lives through proactive access to life-saving medication, comprehensive education, and systemic change in public health policy. By addressing gaps in current provisions—where anaphylaxis can strike suddenly and fatally, often without immediate access to adrenaline—we aim to build a safer society for the millions affected by allergies, including the rising number of children and adults at risk.

Our Core Mission

We are a UK-registered charity committed to preventing unnecessary deaths and severe outcomes from anaphylaxis by ensuring rapid, equitable access to emergency treatment and building widespread knowledge of how to respond effectively. Our work draws inspiration from the successful nationwide rollout of defibrillators for cardiac arrests, applying a similar model to allergies: making proven, life-saving interventions visible, accessible, and supported by training in public spaces.

Key Objectives

Lobbying for Nationwide Placement of Two Adrenaline Auto-Injectors (e.g., EpiPens or Equivalent) Alongside Every Defibrillator

We advocate for legislation and policy changes requiring that two adrenaline auto-injectors (one junior and one adult dose, or equivalent pairs) be mandatorily placed next to every public defibrillator (AED) across the UK—in schools, workplaces, transport hubs, leisure facilities, shopping centres, train stations, airports, and community venues.

This “paired emergency response” approach would create an immediate, dual-purpose station for the two most common sudden life-threatening emergencies: cardiac arrest and anaphylaxis. Adrenaline is the first-line treatment for anaphylaxis and must be administered within minutes to reverse symptoms like airway swelling, breathing difficulty, and shock. Without prompt access, outcomes can be tragic, as seen in high-profile cases.

Delivering World-Class, Industry-Wide Training on Anaphylaxis Recognition and Management

Access to medication alone is insufficient—effective use requires confidence and competence.

We provide and promote high-quality, evidence-based training programs for venue staff, school personnel, workplace first-aiders, healthcare professionals, and the wider public.

Our training covers:

Recognising signs and symptoms of allergic reactions and anaphylaxis.

Safe administration of adrenaline auto-injectors.

Post-administration steps, including calling emergency services and monitoring.

Risk reduction strategies and inclusive allergy management.

Accredited (e.g., CPD where applicable) and tailored to different sectors, this training empowers people to act decisively. We aim to standardise best practices across industries, partnering with established providers to scale delivery and integrate anaphylaxis modules into broader first aid qualifications.

Advocating for Legislation to Provide Every Child in the UK with Rudimentary First Aid Education

We campaign for strengthened legislation embedding basic first aid skills—including anaphylaxis awareness—into the national curriculum for all schoolchildren across the UK. While health education already includes first aid elements (e.g., basic injury response and CPR in secondary schools since 2020), we seek to enhance this with mandatory, age-appropriate practical training on common emergencies like choking, bleeding, and severe allergies. This would equip the next generation with lifelong skills to recognise and respond to anaphylaxis (e.g., knowing to use an auto-injector and seek help), fostering a culture of preparedness from an early age. Our efforts complement existing charity-led resources and push for hands-on elements, annual refreshers, and specific anaphylaxis focus to align with rising allergy prevalence.
