Allergy and Anaphylaxis Trust

🏫 Benedict’s Law Compliance — Schools Now Required to Provide AAI Access

From September 2026, every school in England must ensure access to emergency adrenaline auto-injectors. The Kitty Kit™ is designed to meet exactly this requirement — combining EpiPens and a tourniquet for catastrophic bleeds — all in one compact solution that pairs with your existing defibrillator.

The Kitty Kit™

A Dual Life Station

One bag. Every defibrillator. Every life saved.

The Kitty Kit™ is a compact medical zip bag designed to sit inside — or alongside — every defibrillator (AED) case in the UK and Ireland. Named after our founder Kitty O’Sullivan, it gives bystanders everything they need to respond to the two most common sudden life-threatening emergencies: anaphylaxis and catastrophic bleeding from stab wounds.

What’s Inside the Kitty Kit™?

💉 2 × Adrenaline Auto-Injectors

Two EpiPen-style adrenaline auto-injectors — one adult dose, one junior dose — the first-line treatment for anaphylaxis. Must be administered within minutes of a severe reaction to prevent death.

🩸 1+ Tourniquet

A combat-proven tourniquet for catastrophic bleeding from stab wounds — a growing emergency in UK and Irish schools and public spaces. Knife crime is rising. Tourniquets save lives in the critical minutes before an ambulance arrives.

Why Pair It With a Defibrillator?

The nationwide rollout of defibrillators (AEDs) showed that placing life-saving equipment in visible, known locations — and training people to use it — dramatically improves survival rates from cardiac arrest. The same model applies to anaphylaxis and traumatic bleeding.

Everyone knows where the defibrillator is. The Kitty Kit™ lives right beside it — creating what we like to call a Dual Life Station that covers the three most common sudden life-threatening emergencies in public spaces: cardiac arrest, anaphylaxis, and catastrophic bleeding.

Named After Kitty O’Sullivan

The Kitty Kit™ is named after our founder, Kitty O’Sullivan — who created the Allergy and Anaphylaxis Trust out of a conviction that no one should die from a preventable emergency because the right equipment wasn’t within reach. The same logic that put a defibrillator on every street corner should put a Kitty Kit™ next to every one of them.

Built on 20 Years of Expertise

The Kitty Kit™ isn’t a concept dreamed up in a boardroom. It was born from Kitty O’Sullivan’s 20 years of hands-on anaphylaxis training — delivered to school staff, nursery workers, nannies and sports coaches across the UK. Kitty O’Sullivan has trained hundreds of settings in EpiPen response. The Kitty Kit™ is what she always wished every school already had on the wall.
