From Training Rooms to Westminster
The Allergy and Anaphylaxis Trust was founded by Kitty O’Sullivan — a name already well known to thousands of UK schools. For more than 20 years, Kitty O’Sullivan devoted her career to anaphylaxis training for schools, nurseries, and childcare settings across the UK — delivering hundreds of EpiPen and anaphylaxis training sessions to teachers, nursery staff, nannies, sports coaches, and parents.
Kitty O’Sullivan has appeared on ITV Daybreak, written columns for Montessori International, First News National Children’s Newspaper, London Baby Magazine, and Baby & Me, and pioneered the UK National Choking Awareness Campaign. She is a lecturer in Child Development and has dedicated her career to understanding not just how to treat emergencies — but how to prevent them.
Why the Trust Was Founded
After two decades of training teachers, nursery workers, nannies, sports coaches and parents in anaphylaxis response, Kitty O’Sullivan had seen a consistent and preventable pattern: children were dying from anaphylaxis because the right equipment wasn’t there, the right people hadn’t been trained, and the system wasn’t joined up.
She had delivered hundreds of EpiPen and anaphylaxis training sessions — to football clubs, Montessori schools, primary schools, academies, international schools — and every time the feedback was the same: “I had no idea there was so much to know.” The knowledge gap was enormous. And it was costing lives.
The Allergy and Anaphylaxis Trust was created to close that gap permanently — through legislation, policy change, and public awareness — not just one training course at a time.

The Kitty Kit™: Born from Experience
The Kitty Kit™ — named after its founder — is the direct product of 20 years on the front line of emergency training. A medical zip bag housing two adrenaline auto-injectors and at least one tourniquet, designed to sit alongside every defibrillator in every school, university, airport, and public space in the UK, Ireland, and beyond.
