Allergy and Anaphylaxis Trust

Transparency & Governance

We believe in being completely open about who we are, how we’re structured, and how your support is used.

About A&AT

The Allergy and Anaphylaxis Trust (A&AT) is an independent registered charity. Our CEO is Eugene Quinlan, who operates the charity with complete independence. Eugene has no connection to any commercial training business.

A&AT’s founder, Kitty O’Sullivan, holds the role of Founder and Ambassador. Kitty O’Sullivan is not a trustee and holds no legal position within the charity. This was a deliberate decision: Kitty O’Sullivan also operates independently in the commercial training sector, and we wanted A&AT to be structurally free from any conflict of interest — real or perceived.

Our Commitment to Independence

Everything A&AT produces — our resources, our guidance, our campaigning — is genuinely free and never commercially motivated. We do not sell training courses. We do not earn referral income. Our goal is one thing: to save lives through legislation, policy change, and free public information.

Where we signpost external training providers, we do so on merit — because schools need this training and we want them to find it easily. We receive no commission, referral fee, or income from any provider recommendation.

How Your Donations Are Used

Every pound donated to A&AT goes towards:

  • Campaigning and lobbying — working with government, schools and health bodies to change policy
  • Free resources — guidance for schools, parents, carers, and healthcare settings
  • The Kitty Kit™ rollout — getting emergency allergy kits into schools and public spaces
  • Public awareness — reaching the families and communities who need this information most

No portion of your donation is passed to any commercial training provider. A&AT pays no commission or referral fees to any third party.

Questions About Our Governance?

Transparency is not just a policy — it’s how we operate. If you have any questions about our structure, funding, or independence, we welcome them.
